Check it out friends! My newest White Marlin is finished and up on the website. The 2023 Mid-Atlantic Fishing Tournament inspired this piece in beautiful Cape May, NJ. I was commissioned to be the featured shirt artist for this year’s tournament hosted by South Jersey Tournaments.
Once I had finished painting the original, Rob and I went back and forth, creating the rendering shown below.
The finished products were printed by Salt Life and came out great!
It was exciting to have my artwork featured on this tournament shirt. Anglers and their families from all over the country came to fish, and as a reminder of their time attending this amazing event, they got a cool shirt to go along with it.
As a part of being the featured shirt artist, Rob & I were invited to attend the event and showcase the Eddie Forbes Art brand to the attendees. So we packed our bags and flew to New Jersey to see what it was all about. It was a great experience filled with lots to see and do.
Upon our arrival we hit the boardwalks. We took a day to experience the ferry from Cape May to Ocean City, visiting potential customers along the way and just taking in the sights and sounds.
The tournament was hosted at the Canyon Club Resort & Marina. We had just over 180 boats fishing out of both Cape May, NJ, and Ocean City, MD.
The participants did not disappoint with some monster catches. An 87 lb White Marlin and 887 lb Blue Marlin were the catches of the week. It was a great time, to say the least!
